Synopsis

A shop assistant's talent for impersonating a Russian aristocrat wins attention at a party and leads to work attracting wealthy customers. Entering fashionable society brings advantages but distances her from the people she knows. Her boyfriend mistakes the attention of influential men for evidence that success has changed her loyalties and principles.
