Synopsis
Two ambitious friends leave Boston for Greenwich Village at the turn of the twentieth century, hoping to make their names in art and music. A woman living nearby becomes entangled in both their dreams. When artistic work and romantic expectations overlap, the roommates find that friendship offers little protection from jealousy.
Republic released this period musical during a late stage in Gail Patrick's acting career; it became her final feature before retirement from performing. Later circulation under the title Star Dust and Sweet Music can make it appear to be a different film in older listings.
