Synopsis
Three department-store employees share a home and hopes of a more comfortable life. Gerry resists a wealthy suitor's expectations, while Connie and Franky make choices that leave them vulnerable to men with concealed intentions. Their friendships are tested as romance brings unequal power, disappointment and danger.
Cast
Historical context
Joan Crawford, Anita Page and Dorothy Sebastian reunite after Our Dancing Daughters and Our Modern Maidens. They play different characters here, so the film continues the trio's screen association rather than the earlier stories.
