Synopsis
Holmes helps a scientist and his bombsight escape a Gestapo trap in Switzerland. In London, protecting the inventor proves harder than transporting him. A secret romantic meeting creates an opening that threatens both the man and his strategically important work.

The film brings elements of Conan Doyle's The Adventure of the Dancing Men into a Second World War setting. Updating the detective to the present made the established character part of wartime popular entertainment.
