Synopsis
A secretary accepts a marriage of convenience that will protect her employer from another woman's expectations. The arrangement gives her money and travel, while he anticipates freedom from commitment. A stay in Paris changes her confidence and makes their bargain less predictable.
The pre-Code comedy treats marriage as a negotiable social and financial arrangement. Its frank premise reflects the latitude of Hollywood films before the stricter enforcement of the Production Code in 1934.
