Synopsis

A songwriter encounters an actress whose career has stalled after a dispute with a studio executive. Remembering the help she once gave him, he writes a new number for her and falls in love. Studio politics, lost employment and misunderstandings from his own nightlife then threaten both the professional comeback and their engagement.
