Synopsis
An unmarried woman leaves her quiet home to watch the son of a former sweetheart box in New York. A reporter helps her obtain a ticket, inadvertently placing her beside an investigation into a kidnapped lawyer. Gangsters misread her connection with him, and the visitor discovers that her apparent innocence can become an unexpected advantage.
ZaSu Pitts's anxious screen manner becomes the basis for a comedy of mistaken criminal identity. Also released as Meet the Mob, the film combines her unlikely city adventure with a reporter's attempt to recover both a lost scoop and a damaged engagement.
