Synopsis
A valuable Chinese stamp disappears amid two murders. As it changes hands, collectors and counterfeiters become part of the same puzzle. Ellery Queen must discover how the coveted object connects the crimes and the people concealing its route.
The film loosely adapts The Chinese Orange Mystery, one of the Ellery Queen novels. Its emphasis on a rare collectible places expert knowledge and commercial deception at the centre of the investigation.
