Synopsis
Alison wakes on a train without knowing how she boarded it. Back in New York, her husband's explanation and a proposed psychiatric treatment deepen her uncertainty. A chance acquaintance offers a possible ally as she struggles to distinguish unreliable memory from deliberate deception.
Leo Rosten's serialised story supplied the source. Rosten also worked on the screenplay, with New Yorker writer St. Clair McKelway contributing to the final adaptation.
