Synopsis
Amanda works in a London laundry where her weakness and romantic hopes make her an easy target for ridicule. She invents an aristocratic past to impress her coworkers and keeps dreaming about a customer who has not returned. Her effort to rescue an exhausted laundry horse creates another unlikely bond in a life sustained by imagination and small acts of kindness.
Cast

Inspirations
The comedy draws on the one-act play 'Op o' Me Thumb. Pickford's character uses fantasy to answer humiliation at work, while the story gives equal attention to her loneliness and her compassion.
