Synopsis
Believing he killed his closest friend during a gunfight, a sheriff abandons his badge and withdraws into prospecting. He later agrees to help the dead man's daughter manage her ranch without telling her why he feels responsible. Renewed attacks by outlaws bring the unresolved shooting back into their lives and threaten their growing trust.
