Synopsis

Mickey and Pete compete to take Minnie to a barn dance, but arriving with her is only the beginning of the contest. Mickey's clumsy feet make him a painful partner, while Pete proves unexpectedly graceful. A concealed balloon offers Mickey a temporary improvement that depends on keeping his rival from discovering the trick.

Behind the scenes

Planned around synchronized sound, the cartoon turns dancing and musical rhythm into the measures of success in its romantic rivalry. Unlike many of the character's adventures, Mickey's ingenuity does not guarantee that he wins Minnie's favor.
