Synopsis
Veteran criminals recruit a young man to drive their getaway car. As they study a St. Louis bank and rehearse the job, conflicting fears and private relationships undermine the plan's apparent precision. The newcomer discovers that joining a robbery means entering an unstable group.

The film draws on an attempted bank robbery in 1953. It was shot in St. Louis, with some police officers, employees and residents recreating their involvement. The reconstruction combines this local participation with a dramatized story.
