Synopsis

A supply boat reaches an isolated research station just as a hurricane cuts off escape. The scientists are concealing an experiment that has produced oversized, ravenous shrews. With the animals hunting outside and resentments growing inside the compound, the visitors must improvise a way to survive until they can reach the water.

Behind the scenes

The production paired this film with The Giant Gila Monster in a Texas-based creature-feature venture. Director Ray Kellogg brought experience in studio special effects: close shots used puppets, while dogs in costumes supplied the larger creatures seen moving around the compound.
