Synopsis
Jack allows Echo to believe that her former lover, a prospector, has died. When the missing man returns, the deception becomes entangled with a murder accusation and an outlaw's attempts to conceal his own crime. Sheriff Slim Hoover follows the tangled evidence into a dangerous confrontation on the frontier.

Inspirations
The Western adapts Edmund Day's successful stage play, previously associated with Macklyn Arbuckle. His cousin Roscoe Arbuckle takes the screen role of the sheriff, bringing a familiar comic presence into a more sustained dramatic story.
