Synopsis
A botanical expedition changes course when its guides insist that a missing woman has been taken by a yeti. The scientists find and capture the creature, transporting it to the United States for study. Questions about its status delay its confinement, and an escape shifts the hunt from the mountains to the city's drainage system.
The film belongs to an early wave of screen stories about the Abominable Snowman. Its move from a remote expedition to an American city follows a familiar captured-monster structure, with Los Angeles storm drains supplying the final pursuit's setting.
