Synopsis
Ahmed falls in love with Yasmin, a travelling performer, but a kidnapping makes him suspect that she helped arrange his capture. Bandits, family loyalties and wounded pride stand between the lovers. The adventure returns to the desert world of The Sheik, with Rudolph Valentino appearing both as the young hero and as his father.
Cast
Inspirations
The sequel draws on Edith Maude Hull's novel The Sons of the Sheik. Valentino's dual role connects the new romance with the character he had played in the 1921 film.
Reception and legacy
This was Valentino's final film. Its wider release followed his death in 1926, giving the adventure a lasting association with the public mourning for its star.
