Synopsis
A widowed father wins a small horse-racing bet and begins to imagine gambling as a dependable source of income. Losses soon consume his savings and lead him to take money from work. With an audit approaching, an apparently sympathetic woman introduces another supposedly certain opportunity, drawing his desperation into a confidence scheme.
