Synopsis
Years after his father's execution, Mio searches for evidence that could clear his name. The pursuit draws him into a world of witnesses, intimidation and an unexpected romance. His loyalty to the dead places the possibilities of his own life at risk.

Inspirations
Maxwell Anderson's play was loosely inspired by the Sacco and Vanzetti case. The adaptation keeps traces of its poetic dialogue but changes the ending; it is a fictional response to a controversial prosecution, not a literal reconstruction.
