Synopsis
Violence between rival logging companies leaves foreman Dick Bannister close to death. After an extraordinary transfusion involving a wolf, unsettling dreams and deaths in the forest fuel a rumor that he has become something inhuman. The camp's fear turns a struggle over work and loyalty into a mystery in which suspicion can be as dangerous as the wilderness.

Historical context
Wolf Blood is an early surviving example of cinema drawing on werewolf fears. It approaches the subject through rumor, anxiety and a logging-camp melodrama, rather than the elaborate transformation effects associated with later studio horror. Its supposed medical solution is a fictional device, not reliable medical history.
Behind the scenes
George Chesebro both stars and shares directing credit with Bruce Mitchell. The surviving presentation runs approximately 67 minutes and uses English intertitles. Tinted passages give parts of the forest action a different visual character from the monochrome scenes.
