A Modern Musketeer

Synopsis

Raised on stories of D'Artagnan, Ned carries his chivalric ambitions from Kansas into the modern world. A journey west brings him together with a young woman, her mother and an unwelcome wealthy suitor. His desire to rescue and impress her gives Douglas Fairbanks opportunities to turn old-fashioned heroics into modern athletic comedy.

Inspirations

Eugene P. Lyle Jr.'s story D'Artagnan of Kansas supplied the premise. Filming at the Grand Canyon and Canyon de Chelly gives the adventure a scale far beyond the hero's small-town beginnings.
