Synopsis

Two Foreign Legion soldiers await death in a desert grain pit. Conversation gradually reveals that the men, known by assumed names, were childhood friends. Their shared past gives the desperate present a different meaning and opens the story of how they reached it.

Cast

Inspirations

P. C. Wren's novel belongs to the same fictional world as Beau Geste. The adaptation extends that cycle of Foreign Legion stories, whose North African settings reflect the colonial adventure conventions of their time.
