Synopsis

The birth of royal twins creates a dangerous secret for the French court. D'Artagnan and his fellow musketeers are drawn into efforts to protect the throne from men who would exploit the brothers' identical appearance. Old loyalties meet a final test as confinement, substitution and political ambition threaten the king's identity.

Allan Dwan's adventure draws on the final part of Alexandre Dumas's The Vicomte de Bragelonne. Douglas Fairbanks returns as d'Artagnan in a transitional production combining silent storytelling with a synchronised score and limited spoken passages.
