Synopsis

A woman dreams of a mysterious man appearing in several disturbing guises. Her wealthy husband, worried about her diminishing affection and a set of missing documents, hires a detective who has the same face. The investigation reveals that her resistance to leaving Paris is only one part of a situation in which the investigator himself becomes emotionally involved.

Cast

Behind the scenes

Mosjoukine wrote, directed and performed in this Albatros production, drawing on the Russian émigré filmmaking community established near Paris. Its movement between nightmare, detective intrigue and romantic comedy gives the star several modes of performance within one story.
