Synopsis
A society scavenger hunt brings a young woman to a homeless man living beside the East River. Her family's thoughtless game becomes an offer of employment. Entering their household, he discovers that wealth has provided little protection from disorder or unhappiness.
Eric Hatch's 1101 Park Avenue supplies the source. The Depression-era setting makes the encounter between homelessness and conspicuous wealth essential to the comedy's social observation.
