Synopsis
Waitress Jennie loves a restaurant cook whose admiration is reserved for actresses. She studies performance and imagines herself onstage, hoping to become the kind of woman he notices. The effort brings theatrical ambition into the practical world of a river-town restaurant.

Behind the scenes
Allan Dwan filmed much of Gloria Swanson's comedy in New Martinsville, West Virginia. Technicolor opening and closing passages distinguish the production's fantasy of performance from much of its ordinary setting.
