Mickey operates a small theatre and supplies its varied entertainment himself. Dance, impersonation and a piano recital lead to a struggle with the instruments and furniture that are supposed to support the show.
The cartoon borrows from vaudeville, including ethnic caricatures characteristic of the period. With no dialogue, its humour depends on movement and the close coordination of music with action.
