Synopsis
A Frenchwoman seeking modelling work in New York borrows information from an agency and reaches the wrong office. Financial trouble and romantic misunderstandings follow the encounter. Determined to improve her position, she finds that appearances can open doors and create further complications.

The film received a special recommendation at the Venice Film Festival. A later American reissue used the title Confessions of a Model, shifting the emphasis toward its heroine's occupation.
