Synopsis
A young Gascon leaves home to seek his fortune while rival powers manoeuvre around the French crown. The queen's position and a valuable gift become vulnerable to intrigue. D'Artagnan's ambitions draw him toward friendships whose loyalty will be tested in action.
Alexandre Dumas's novel became a vehicle for Douglas Fairbanks's athletic style. His physical feats give court intrigue the momentum of an adventure performed through bodies, swords and precarious spaces.
