Synopsis

American pilot Bob White enters the Kaiser's palace on a mission to transmit military secrets. Disguised as a woman, he encourages rivalry among the German leaders while a Belgian accomplice helps him carry out the plan. Espionage becomes an excuse for broad impersonation, flirtation and military ridicule.

Cast

Historical context

Produced by Mack Sennett around the end of the First World War, the film turns wartime anti-German propaganda into extravagant comedy. Stage performer Bothwell Browne supplies the central female-impersonation act.
