Nomads of the North

Synopsis

Raoul returns from the wilderness just as Nanette is being persuaded to marry another man. A confrontation leaves him accused of murder, and the couple flee together. Years later, the pursuit reaches the home they have built in the North Woods, where danger also comes from the landscape around them.

Behind the scenes

James Oliver Curwood's wilderness romance led to an elaborate forest built on the Universal lot for a fire sequence. Multiple cameras recorded the destruction, making the spectacle a major part of the production.
